No other process in the “assembly production” value chain has as many influencing variables as stencil printing, which is why basic knowledge of solder paste and stencil design is part of this training module. Knowledge and skills for the complex interaction of printing parameters and solder paste are taught here. It is precisely because of this multitude of constants that process control and process regulation is a topic that is also discussed in the theoretical part.
In addition to the material, the machine and the method, people themselves are a potential source of error. Correct handling and correct use therefore make up a large part of the training content.
As printing errors often only become apparent after soldering, the combination with training module 4 – Reflow soldering, is recommended.
