The Vaculoy process

ALPHA Vaculoy solders are manufactured from high-purity raw materials.

The company’s own Vaculoy process produces alloys with lower viscosity and reduced dross content. The result is a high-purity solder alloy that is free from moulded-in impurities and trapped oxides.

This proprietary process step prior to casting results in the following advantages:

Removal of finely dispersed suspended oxides contained in the raw materials
Increased flowability, resulting in fewer soldering defects
Reduced dross formation ensures that solder baths remain clean for longer.

ALPHA HiFlo SMG Solid Solder

ALPHA HiFlo SMG Sn63Pb37 Solder is manufactured using the proprietary Vaculoy process.

The Vaculoy process is the basis for far exceeding the requirements for solder according to J-STD-006A and the former military specification QQS-571F.

The unique Vaculoy process removes the contained oxides. Verification of each batch through chemical analysis and dross inclusion testing guarantees consistency with respect to metallic and non-metallic contaminants, including oxides.
